From tomorrow, Manilva Town Hall will launch a donation campaign to support those affected by the recent cold drop storm (gota fría) that has severely hit the Spanish Levante region. The initiative aims to collect food, clothing and usable items to help those who have suffered the consequences of this weather event.
Donations will focus on several types of items. Clothing is requested, especially autumn and winter wear, as well as sheets, blankets and sleeping bags. As for food, non-perishable products will be accepted, with priority given to tinned goods, powdered milk and baby food pouches, owing to the lack of electricity and cooking facilities in many affected areas. Hygiene items are also needed, such as nappies for babies and adults, feminine hygiene products, soap and toilet paper.
Cleaning products will also be accepted, including brooms, buckets and gloves, to help with the recovery work in the damaged areas.
The Town Hall encourages all residents to take part in this worthy cause and thanks all the people of Manilva in advance for their solidarity. Donations can be made tomorrow, Saturday, from 10:00 to 20:00 at the following points:
- Sabinillas: Warehouse on the Ctra de los baños, located between Ortega Avilés and Lidl. View location.
- Manilva: Local Police on Calle Álvarez Leiva. View location
