The mayor of Manilva, José Manuel Fernández, and the councillor for Infrastructure and Works, Agustín Vargas, have inspected the progress of the refurbishment works at Plaza de Los Escritores, located in Sabinillas. This project, which will be carried out in two phases, aims to revitalise this emblematic space in the town, with an estimated completion date of mid-February.
Details of the Improvements:
Planter and Surroundings:
In the first phase, a planter located in the square will be cleaned up, addressing a long-standing concern among residents. The unsanitary condition of the area, made worse by the presence of a rats’ nest, will be dealt with comprehensively. This work will be carried out while respecting the existing parking spaces and trees, ensuring that the natural beauty of the square remains intact.
Bin Area:
As part of the second phase, an enclosed and discreet bin area will be set up. This measure seeks to improve the efficiency of waste management on Avenida de Manilva, while avoiding any negative visual impact on the appearance of the square. The initiative aims to ease the burden on Avenida de Manilva and ensure that waste is disposed of in an orderly and aesthetically pleasing way.
These works not only contribute to the beautification of the municipality’s public spaces, but also address the complaints and concerns of local residents in the area.
