José Manuel Fernández, mayor of Manilva and head of the Public Safety department, has met with representatives of the Local Police to pass on a number of important matters that will strengthen the force and, therefore, the work they carry out in our municipality.
The mayor, who considers security a fundamental part of the municipal organisation chart, is determined to find the necessary tools to guarantee social peace and look after the interests of residents.
To this end, the Mayor’s Office itself and the Human Resources department, headed by Juan Carlos Morejón, will study various ways of putting these planned improvements into effect, including them in the municipal budget.
Matters discussed:
– Increasing the workforce with four new police posts.
– Creating a job pool to increase the number of officers.
– Studying and strengthening the Regulations on reassignment to light duties (segunda actividad).
These three key points will undoubtedly allow the Local Police to work in better conditions, and this will benefit the people of Manilva.
