Some 30 volunteers on foot, a boat from the Manilva nautical club and four paddle surf boards took part in the seabed clean-up carried out at Las Gaviotas beach.
Organised by Libera, Oceánidas and the Red de Vigilantes Marinos, this event, which has the collaboration of Manilva Town Hall, through the Environment department, headed by Laura López, aims to promote care of the marine environment and raise awareness of it at an international level.
Joining this initiative as collaborators, in addition to Civil Protection, are Marinas del Mediterráneo, Andalucía Activities and the Paddle Surf and Náutico de Manilva clubs.
Four divers also took part and brought up almost 400 kg of waste.
