Work to renovate and extend the Municipal Music School is progressing very well, according to councillors Diego José Jiménez (Infrastructure) and Alba Jiménez (Culture), who checked on it this morning accompanied by municipal technicians, area director Maria de los Ángeles Ramos and representatives of the company Desarrolla, which is carrying out the work.
The demolition, structure, enclosure and interior layout phases of the project have already been completed. The exterior scaffolding has also been put up for the installation of the ventilated façade, with thermal waterproofing and a finishing cladding, which will improve both insulation and appearance.
Residents will find a cream-white building with a burgundy band at window level. The canopies above the building’s various entrance doors will also be burgundy.
The meeting also covered more technical matters, such as the flooring to be installed in the dance room and the soundproofing elements for the recording room.
Councillor Diego José Jiménez spoke about the details of this work.
Meanwhile, the culture councillor, Alba Jiménez, expressed her satisfaction, as the work under way will equip the school with everything it needs to function properly, with every comfort.
Once the work is finished, the students of this Music, Dance and Theatre school will be able to return to classes in a building completely different from the one they left only a few months ago.
