This Tuesday work began to connect Calle Jimena and the Pedreta ring road in Manilva. The mayor, Mario Jiménez, the councillor for Infrastructure and Works, Diego José Jiménez, and councillor Francisco Becerra visited the site.
This link will improve residents’ daily lives, as it will include a staircase and a lift for people with reduced mobility, as well as a viewpoint from which to take in the extraordinary landscape.
Coordination between the Diputación de Málaga (Málaga Provincial Council) and the Town Hall has made this project a reality. It forms part of the Economic Recovery Plan for municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants.
The work involves an investment of 150,000 euros from the Diputación and around 33,000 euros for the project itself, contributed by the Town Hall. It plans the connection between Calle Jimena and Pedreta, as well as new parking areas.
