We start the week with good COVID figures

According to the statistics recorded in Manilva since the start of the pandemic, Mondays have been the worst days for the municipality in terms of rises in the active COVID incidence rate. Almost every week has begun with more positive cases than recoveries, which pushed up the active incidence figure in the municipality, but today, Monday 29 March, that figure turns positive, as today’s records show more recoveries («3») than new positive cases («just 1»).

The Regional Ministry of Health and Families (Consejería de Salud y Familias), in collaboration with the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalusia, has published today’s figures for Monday 29 March, which report 1 new positive case and 3 recoveries since Friday. As a result, the number of active cases over the last 14 days falls to 13, and the active incidence rate over the last 14 days drops from 91.2 to 79.1 (cases per 100,000 inhabitants). The total number of confirmed cases in Manilva since the start of the pandemic stands at 938 people, with 17 deaths.

The cumulative incidence over the last 7 days stands at 30.4 (positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants).

As of today, Monday 29 March, the active cases over the last 14 days are:

* Manilva: 13 cases
* Estepona: 107 cases
* San Roque: 23 cases
* Castellar: 2 cases
* Los Barrios: 12 cases
* La Línea: 26 cases
* Algeciras: 157 cases
* Benahavís: 9 cases
* Marbella: 215 cases
* Casares: 4 cases

This newsroom has produced a chart showing the total positive cases since the start of the pandemic, the details for the last 14 days and recoveries, which we update from Monday to Friday and which we have included in our «Coronavirus Special.»
