VOX votes against the municipal Adjustment Plan

Denuncia que el Plan de ajuste supondrá que los manilveños paguen más impuestos

-

The spokesman for the VOX Manilva Municipal Group, Antonio Marín, has expressed his opposition to the adjustment plan adapted to the financial sustainability plan presented by Manilva Town Hall, as it «means compromising the stability and future of this town hall for the next 25 years».

«At VOX we disagree because this plan has a direct negative impact on the pockets of the people of Manilva. Residents are going to have to pay far more in taxes», Marín explained.

«VOX warned about this some time ago and we were accused of not telling the truth, but when the time comes, residents will see that we were right, and that they are paying more taxes because of the poor management of politicians», the VOX spokesman in Manilva added.

«Residents of Manilva will pay 60% more this year than in 2024, while in 2026 the increase will rise to 80% compared with last year, due to the increase in the cost of basic public services. There will also be an increase in IBI (property tax). And while the Town Hall raises taxes, investment is being cut, as investment in services is being reduced by 200,000 euros«, Marín explained.

«The figures speak for themselves. This adjustment plan is not viable for taxpayers», he insisted.

Finally, Antonio Marín criticised the governing team for leaving the opposition out. «We have not been properly informed about the Adjustment Plan. They have sidelined the members of the opposition and all the residents of Manilva».
