The effort made by Manilva Town Hall to recover public spaces and acquire municipal heritage for the benefit of local people is clearly undermined by unscrupulous individuals who cause damage with no regard whatsoever.
The Casa de los Torres, home of the Peña Flamenca de Manilva and a cultural venue where dozens of activities are held for the enjoyment of local residents, has been the target of vandalism that has destroyed the toilets, the existing decor, sound equipment, the club’s bar and furniture such as chairs, awnings, tables, etc.
This destruction was carried out by malicious individuals who show no appreciation for the efforts of the Town Hall and the peña itself, which are enhancing the value of an emblematic place for our town.
The Local Police have opened an investigation and are considering a number of lines of enquiry, which will be narrowed down in the coming days in order to identify those responsible for this outrage against municipal premises.
