Mario Jiménez, acting mayor at Manilva Town Hall, has announced that the formal tribute to the muleteers of our town will take place this Sunday, 11 June.
As Jiménez stated in recent weeks, «out of political responsibility, respect for those involved and to avoid any suspicion during the election campaign, we decided to postpone this richly deserved recognition of those residents whose work at that time was essential».
From 13:00, residents who wish to take part in this heartfelt occasion for those Manilva families are invited to attend.
Wine from the Bodega de Manilva and a rice dish will be served.
