This Tuesday 15 August is Tourist Day, which coincides with the national public holiday, and a variety of activities have been organised in our town.
Among them are children’s games and cooperative games, which will take place at Playa del Cali from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 18:00 to 20:00. Registration will be available at the same location 30 minutes before the activities begin.
There are also heritage tourism initiatives planned, with a visit to the Monumento de El Castillo and the Archaeological Site, in the form of a guided tour running from 9:00 to 13:00 and from 19:00 to 22:00. To take part, places must be booked on 678 921 031.
Those interested in nautical tourism can book a one-hour boat trip along the town’s beaches, run by the company SolBoat. Bookings can be made from 9:00 to 19:00 by calling 695 644 030.
Wine tourism, so important for our town, could not be missing from the programme. Bodegas Manilva offers the chance to taste sweet, white and rosé wines. The tastings will take place from 18:30 to 19:30, from 19:45 to 20:45 and from 21:00 to 22:00. Parking is guaranteed. Bookings can be made on 639 107 694.
Another of the many activities organised for the day is the Golf Tournament, to be held at La Duquesa Golf. The deadline for registration is 14 August at 12:00. For more information and bookings, call 952 89 07 25.
There will also be the chance to go up in a hot-air balloon from 21:00 to 23:00 on La Noria beach.
The day will end with a performance by the Cuadro Flamenco Duende at 22:00 in the Plaza del Coral, in the Puerto de la Duquesa, accompanied by a tasting of Manilva wine.
