The head of Infrastructure and Works at Manilva Town Hall, Diego José Jiménez, visited the Guardia Civil barracks in Sabinillas this morning, where technicians are carrying out ground survey work for the future extension of the barracks building, which will house the new Guardia Civil officers who will serve in the town once it becomes a main barracks, something the municipality has been demanding for several years.
Jiménez also said that the post of lieutenant for this force in the town has already been created, which is good news for the municipality.
As the councillor pointed out, progress is slow, but the results of the negotiations held with this state security force throughout the whole term of office are now beginning to show.
