Casares and Manilva are in advanced talks to study the possibility of extending the urban area of Secadero into the municipality of Manilva. The initiative, promoted by the owners of the neighbouring land, aims to respond to the natural growth of the district and to facilitate its orderly urban development.
The proposal, which was the subject of a meeting between the mayors of both municipalities, José Manuel Fernández and Juan Luis Villalón, envisages the continuation of the existing streets in Secadero into the municipality of Manilva, thus allowing a gradual and coherent urban expansion.
The technical teams of both local administrations will work in a coordinated way to analyse the feasibility of the project and to prepare the studies needed for its development. Special attention will be paid to aspects such as land-use planning, mobility, public services and environmental impact.
