This Friday 25 August, the town is preparing to commemorate the feast day of San Luis, patron saint of Sabinillas. The Hermandad de la Virgen del Carmen, in collaboration with the Culture and Fiestas departments of Manilva Town Hall, has organised a series of activities to mark this important occasion for the residents of Sabinillas.
The day will begin at 8:00 with lively reveille music and street parades, enlivened by the Charanga.
At 20:00, Holy Mass will be held in honour of San Luis, the town’s patron saint. The Choir of the Municipal Music School will provide the music for this special moment. Afterwards, the procession will make its way through the main streets of Sabinillas, accompanied by the Municipal Band.
The group ‘Latidos’ will close this memorable day with a music and dance show in Plaza Vicente Espinel at 22:30. The festivities will continue until Saturday 26 August, when ‘Latidos’ will again entertain the public at the same venue and time as the previous day.
Both the Hermandad and the Culture and Fiestas departments, under the direction of Fina Gómez and Rogelio Pascual, invite all residents and visitors to join the various events organised to celebrate San Luis Day. It is an opportunity to experience the rich tradition and festive spirit that characterise Sabinillas.
