Sabinillas Promenade will be ready for Holy Week

-

The mayor of Manilva, José Manuel Fernández, and the councillor for Infrastructure and Works, Agustín Vargas, visited the section of the Sabinillas Promenade currently under construction this morning.

Handover of the works imminent

Vargas confirmed some good news: the partial handover certificate for the works will be signed next Friday. The full handover is expected to take place in around two weeks, with the works finishing a month ahead of schedule.

A promenade worthy of Manilva

The councillor highlighted the quality of the work carried out and the fulfilment of the commitment made: the commercial area will be open for Holy Week, thus avoiding harm to local businesspeople.

«This is a promenade worthy of what we deserve», said Vargas, who added that a few decorative elements, such as flowers, plant pots and other details, are still to be put in place.

A boost for tourism and hospitality

For his part, the mayor confirmed the opening of this part of the third phase in time for Holy Week. «It is very good news for residents, tourists and hoteliers», said Fernández, who stressed both the speed with which the work was carried out and the quality of the final finish.

A promise kept

«The governing team is keeping its promise so as not to harm anyone during these important dates», the mayor emphasised.

Enjoying the new promenade

As a result, from next week, residents will be able to enjoy this new phase of the Sabinillas Promenade without any inconvenience. The area still under construction will be properly signposted to ensure everyone’s safety.
