The Festivals department, headed by Daniel Muñoz, announces that this Saturday and Sunday, 13 and 14 August, as part of the August Fair 2022 programme, the traditional parade of floats and street procession will take place along the main streets of the urban areas of Manilva, Sabinillas and El Castillo.
In the case of Manilva pueblo, the procession, which will include the Queens, Ladies and Junior and Youth Misters of our Fair, will take place tomorrow, Saturday, from 20:00.
The route will start on calle Doctor Álvarez Leiva (Local Police), continuing along calle Mar, calle Iglesia, calle Cuartel, calle Cruces and calle Jimena, and finishing on calle Mar.
The floats will travel through the streets of El Castillo and Sabinillas on Sunday 14 August, starting at 19:30 at the El Castillo monument. The parade, which this year consists of five floats, will continue along calle Estanquillo, Plaza Baños Romanos, Plaza Miramar and calle Santiago until it returns to the monument.
They will then move to Sabinillas via the service road to calle José Cadalso, to begin their route from Plaza de la Colonia, going along calle Duquesa de Arcos and joining Avenida Andalucía, to finish at the Sabinillas Multipurpose Building.
The organisers ask that vehicles parked on these streets be moved.
