Following the grant of more than 300,000 euros received from the Mancomunidad de Municipios de la Costa del Sol Occidental for the beaches of Manilva, councillor Eva Galindo reports that work has already begun to remove the toilets, which were in a state of disrepair.
They will be replaced at the beginning of next week by 15 new, modern units that comply with current regulations and will be distributed along the whole coastline.
The funding also covered the installation of a children’s play park on the beach between Puerto de la Duquesa and La Colonia, which is already finished and awaiting its official opening.
Thanks to this grant, the Beaches department also plans to purchase a new tractor, which will join the existing machinery and strengthen the cleaning service along the municipality’s coastline.
Added to all this is the department’s effort to expand and improve the lifeguard service during the busiest periods, so that people can enjoy the beaches safely.
Both Eva Galindo and Manilva’s representative on the Mancomunidad, Daniel Muñoz, have thanked the association of municipalities for this important investment in our beaches, which continue to improve and to offer the best services to users.
