Procurement of supplies for multifunction devices

-

The Councillor for New Technologies and E-Government, Francisco Miguel Álvarez, as he announced at the end of last year, reports that his department is drawing up the various reports for the tender of a contract for the supply of printers and other equipment, for which all interested companies will be able to bid.

According to Álvarez, the aim of the Town Hall is to give the tender the widest possible circulation so that as many companies as possible can contribute ideas and submit bids.

The purpose is to provide the various Town Hall departments with the best equipment at the lowest possible cost. The contract covers the provision of the equipment and its maintenance by the successful company, while the Town Hall would pay for this service according to the number of copies made.

Therefore, if the equipment meets the technical specifications set by the IT department, all that remains to be determined is the price per copy, which appears to be a more rational and simplified system in terms of the Town Hall’s auditing and spending control.

Manilva Town Hall currently has 26 devices under contract, which sit alongside other council-owned photocopiers that are now very old and obsolete and need to be replaced.

According to the mayor, Mario Jiménez, his governing team is working to offer the best public service to local people and residents.

Companies interested in this contract can therefore contact the IT department on 638 61 39 22, where they will be duly informed of the technical requirements for bidding and of the number of copies produced each year.

Finally, Álvarez reminds interested companies that, in order to take part, they must meet the requirements established by law and be up to date with their tax and employment obligations. They will also have to become involved in the development of future e-government projects in our municipality.
