Next Thursday, 1 August, at 9:30, an ordinary council meeting will be held at Manilva Town Hall. The session will deal with matters such as the approval of minutes, the sale by auction of a plot in Bahía las Rocas and amendments to the urban planning ordinance.
According to a press release, VOX will lead the activity in the Requests section, being the only party to have submitted a total of four requests that will focus attention on various aspects of municipal life. These include:
- Access to the Ciudad de la Petanca: Vox will request improvements to the facilities of the Ciudad de la Petanca, run by the Club Deportivo Casama.
- Hogar del Pensionista: The municipal group will raise the situation of the Hogar del Pensionista of the Asociación de Pensionistas Las Viñas.
- Violence and public safety: Vox will raise issues relating to safety in the municipality and the fight against violence.
- Grupo Abu’s development in Manilva: Antonio Marín will ask about the development that the property group Abu has announced it will carry out on the Castillo de la Duquesa archaeological site, which we reported on a few days ago.
With this series of requests, Vox shows its activity in opposition, with close involvement with Manilva’s associations and groups and an interest in improving various aspects of municipal life.
Other highlights of the agenda:
- Retirement of a municipal employee: The professional career of Manuel Reina García will be recognised.
- Sale of a plot: Plot 35 of the Urbanización Bahía de las Rocas will be auctioned.
- Urban planning amendments: Changes will be proposed to the regulations governing planning licences.
Item on amendments to the taxi ordinance withdrawn
The amendment of the municipal ordinance regulating the taxi service, initially scheduled to be voted on at this council meeting, has been withdrawn following a request from a large part of the sector, which asked for more time and a better study of the situation in order to reach a consensus across the whole sector that could improve the service to the public.
