This Monday 26 and Wednesday 28 September, the open days at the Municipal Cycling School begin. Anyone interested can take part and find out first-hand what this sport involves, as well as meet the classes and instructors. The first day, 26 September, will feature the recent Spanish Mountain Bike Runner-up for Local Police officers, Francisco Vázquez, a title won last Saturday in A Coruña after a year of intense training. He has been chosen to give the starting signal for the school.
These two opening days will be completely open and free for children aged between 4 and 14, from 16:00 to 17:30. Wearing a helmet will be compulsory, and once the sessions finish an information table will be set up where anyone can ask questions or sign up for the course.
The activity will take place at the start of Avda de España in Sabinillas, behind the Guardia Civil barracks. The open space covers around 430 square metres and next to it are a calisthenics park and the Ciudad de la Petanca de Sabinillas. It is easy to reach, and can be accessed via the area’s bike lane.
