The impact of the pandemic in Manilva continues to lose strength. On Monday the town recorded a cumulative incidence of 486.6 infections per 100,000 inhabitants over the last 14 days. This is therefore 14 points below the limit of 500 cases set by the Junta de Andalucía for applying the perimeter lockdown of the municipality, which has been in force for more than a month, specifically since 17 January.
If this trend continues until next Thursday, the restrictions on movement could be lifted from Saturday 27 February.
Unless there is a sudden change in the figures, everything suggests that the provincial Territorial Committee for High-Impact Public Health Alerts will lift the perimeter lockdown. If so, from 00:00 on Saturday it will be permitted to enter and leave the municipality and to travel to other municipalities that do not have these restrictions.
The Regional Ministry of Health and Families, in collaboration with the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalucía, has published today’s figures for Monday 22 February, showing 16 new positive cases and 27 recoveries. The number of active cases over the last 14 days therefore falls to 80, and the 14-day cumulative incidence drops from 541.4 to 486.6 (cases per 100,000 inhabitants). The total number of confirmed cases in Manilva since the start of the pandemic now stands at 848 people, with 15 deaths.
As for the 7-day cumulative incidence, it rises, from 158.16 to 200.7 (positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants).
As of today, Monday 22 February, the active cases over the last 14 days are:
* Manilva: 80 cases (9 fewer)
* Estepona: 344 cases (111 fewer)
* San Roque: 65 cases (9 fewer)
