The president of the Mancomunidad (association of municipalities), José Antonio Mena, accompanied by the Investment delegate, Juan Olea, today handed over to Mario Jiménez, mayor of Manilva, a tractor for cleaning and maintaining the municipality’s beaches.
The official ceremony was also attended by the Beaches councillor, Eva Galindo, the councillor and Mancomunidad Delegate for Mediation, Integration and Foreign Residents, Daniel Muñoz, and Juani Ortiz, an opposition councillor.
The vehicle is a KUBOTA M6-121U with 90 kW of power, fitted with a hydraulic system with a lifting capacity of 6,000 kg and a corresponding hitch system that allows various implements to be attached for beach cleaning work.
The machine costs €81,675 including VAT, and comes with a full 5-year warranty.
It is one of the three projects requested by Manilva Town Hall under the Joint Investment Plan (Plan de Inversiones Mancomunado), which had an initial budget allocation for this municipality of €365,459.85.
Once in Manilva, it was also received by councillors Diego José Jiménez and Francisco Becerra.
Municipal officials said they were very pleased to have new machinery that makes the work of the beach workers easier.
