New Guardia Civil Lieutenant Welcomed

-

Manilva Town Hall continues to make determined progress towards its goal of upgrading the Guardia Civil barracks to a Main Post (Puesto Principal) for our municipality.

The mayor of Manilva, José Manuel Fernández, who is also the councillor responsible for Public Safety, has received the new Lieutenant who will head the Guardia Civil Post in our town.

The purpose of the meeting was to extend a warm welcome to the newly appointed Lieutenant, Javier Vicente, who was accompanied by the Commanding Officer of the Guardia Civil in the area, Juan Ruiz, the Sergeant of the Manilva Post, Francisco Javier Pérez, and the Chief of the Local Police, Juan Montero.

Public safety is an absolute priority for the mayor and his governing team. They therefore expressed their satisfaction at receiving the Guardia Civil commanders at the mayor’s office and at continuing to move towards achieving this main objective, which will result in greater safety for all residents and the many people who visit us.

The mayor, José Manuel Fernández, has confirmed that the new officers, who will expand the current staff, will join in April and May 2024, turning this project into a tangible reality.
