The Fishing councillor, Laura López, accompanied by councillor Diego José Jiménez, has signed an agreement with the fishermen of our town to award aid to this sector, which is so important to our work.
Eight families will receive this aid, which will allow them to cover costs and carry on fishing, as the trade is working flat out to keep its livelihood going.
The councillor wished to remind everyone that these grants have been awarded since the start of the term of office, and that mooring fees for these boats have been frozen at a fair price agreed by both parties. She added: «We continue working to improve the situation of our fishermen and so prevent the loss of this work, which is a hallmark of the town’s identity.»
