Pupils from Maicandil school have taken part in a very special activity at the new roundabout being built on the road to El Peñoncillo. Organised by the Town Hall, the students have left their painted handprints on the roundabout, which will be named after the Teacher.
This roundabout will be a tribute to the teaching profession, which contributes so much to the development and education of new generations. To this end, the Infrastructure and Works department, headed by councillor Agustín Vargas, has been working on its decoration for several weeks.
The mayor, José Manuel Fernández, the councillor himself and the rest of the governing team have taken part in this lovely activity, which carries many values that are very meaningful for the youngest children and for the education community.
In just a few days, once the handprints have been treated, we will be able to see the result, which will remain for posterity.
This initiative is a way of recognising the important work that teachers do in society. Thanks to their dedication and effort, new generations can reach their full potential.
Manilva is committed to continuing to support education and to encouraging young people to take part in municipal life.
