The mayor of Manilva, José Manuel Fernández, and the Cleaning councillor, Rogelio Pascual, visited the streets of the municipality today to check how the new bulky waste collection service is working. The service was launched a few days ago with the aim of keeping the town clean and looking its best.
This new service will operate 365 days a year, from Monday to Sunday, from 6:00 until 14:00.
Today, two lorries have been working to speed up the collection and ensure that everything is clean as soon as possible.
It is important to remember that, although this service has been agreed with the cleaning company and is now up and running, waste cannot be dumped without any control, as this is illegal and may result in a fine.
For this reason, from this Monday a telephone number will be set up by the Cleaning department, through which residents must give proper notice of the items that need to be collected. This number will be made public shortly.
The mayor and the councillor highlighted the importance of this new service for keeping the municipality clean and encouraged residents to use it responsibly.
