The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, has attended the founding General Assembly of the «Ruta Blas Infante» Network of Municipalities Association, held in the council chamber of Isla Cristina Town Hall, in Huelva.
Three main matters were dealt with at the meeting: approval of the establishment of the «Ruta Blas Infante» Network of Municipalities Association and its main aims, as well as approval of its statutes and the posts on the Board of Directors.
The Manilva councillor said: «We have been working for a decade to promote, highlight and safeguard a route that is fundamental to the history of Andalucía, through one of the most important figures for this land, Blas Infante».
The main aim of adapting the statutes is to give the association a boost with new challenges, as well as extending them to tourism, culture and education.
In addition, with this action plan and the establishment of the network of municipalities, «it will allow us to access grants from other administrations, which will help to achieve the stated aims», Jiménez concluded.
