The acting mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, has issued a municipal notice on the removal of awnings and parasols during the “Night of San Juan” celebration, which, as every year, will be held on 23 and 24 June on the beaches of our municipality.
According to the notice, both the Local Police and the Consorcio Provincial de Bomberos de Málaga (Málaga Provincial Fire Service) have warned that embers from the bonfire could cause fires in the surrounding area.
For this reason, all businesses and homes adjacent to the beach area in Sabinillas where the Night of San Juan event will take place are ordered to take in their awnings, parasols and any other items that could be affected during the burning, thus avoiding the risk of fire.
