Microchip readers donated to the Local Police

-

Manilva Local Police have received a donation of two microchip readers from the vet Cristina Quirós. This tool will speed up the identification of lost and abandoned animals in the municipality, making it easier for them to return home.

The Town Hall had spent months with its only device out of order, according to several people who had requested this service, and it has taken a local vet to contribute voluntarily so that all the animals that go missing in the municipality can return home quickly.

Given the lack of resources on the part of the Local Police, we have been carrying out this task from our newsroom through social media, with the help of the public and with very good results, managing to return more than fifty animals to their owners.

For his part, the mayor of Manilva, José Manuel Fernández, who is the person ultimately responsible for the Public Safety department, has joined in this expression of thanks. The new equipment adds to the existing equipment, which according to users did not work, and he stressed the competence of the officers when dealing with animals in these situations.
