It has been confirmed: Manilva will remain closed perimetrally for another week following this afternoon’s meeting of the committee of experts that analyses the epidemiological situation in Andalusian municipalities in order to reduce or extend restrictions from next Saturday. In the province of Málaga, fourteen municipalities will keep the perimeter closure in place for at least one more week.
The measures had been due to come into force in the early hours of Friday to Saturday, but the Junta has decided to bring forward their application by 24 hours, so they will be in force from 00:00 tomorrow, Friday, following today’s publication in the Boletín Oficial de la Junta de Andalucía.
Mobility restrictions will remain in those towns that have not managed to bring their infection rate over the last fourteen days below 500 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, the limit set by the Junta for decreeing a perimeter closure.
According to the data published today by the Instituto de Estadística y Cartografía de Andalucía, these municipalities are Marbella (665.2), Estepona (759), Manilva (638.7), Ojén (550.3), Villanueva del Trabuco (828.9), Algatocín (737.1), Cortes de la Frontera (717.8), Gaucín (755.2), Montejaque (526.9) and Ronda (747.1).
In addition, four other municipalities will add the closure of bars, restaurants and non-essential shops to the closure of their borders, as they still exceed 1,000 infections per 100,000 inhabitants. These are Árchez (1,039), Cañete la Real (1,286), Benaoján (1,789.4) and Serrato (1,037.3).
In all these towns, entering or leaving the municipal boundaries will be prohibited without a justified reason, in addition to the other measures that apply to all Andalusian towns: a curfew between 22:00 and 06:00, gatherings limited to four people both inside and outside homes, and the closure of hospitality venues and shops at 18:00.
