Manilva Town Hall has taken an important step towards improving the quality of its beaches with the purchase of a new hydraulic machine designed specifically for collecting seaweed. The vehicle will make it possible to automate tasks that until now were carried out manually, increasing efficiency and speeding up the cleaning of the coastline.
The mayor, José Manuel Fernández, together with the Beaches councillor, Gema Zotano, and the Infrastructure councillor, Agustín Vargas, have received the new machinery, which represents a significant investment in the upkeep of the beaches and a response to a major demand from residents, especially this season because of the large amount of seaweed that has affected all the beaches of the Costa del Sol.
