Manilva today continues on an upward trend in active Covid-19 incidence, so it is highly likely that, even though the Costa del Sol health district is already below the limit set by the experts (142.7), the municipality will remain under the same restrictions for another week.
Pending today’s decision by the Junta de Andalucía, various business associations called yesterday for health alert levels for Covid-19 to be set according to the incidence rate by municipality and not by health district.
In this situation, it is highly likely that hospitality venues and other shops in Manilva will have to close their premises at 18:00, while people will be able, for example, to go for a drink, have dinner or go shopping in neighbouring Estepona until 21:30.
The Andalusian Regional Ministry of Health and Families, in collaboration with the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalusia, has published today’s figures for Thursday 11 March, reporting 6 new positive cases and 5 recoveries. The number of active cases over the last 14 days rises to 32, and the 14-day active incidence rises from 188.6 to 194.7 (cases per 100,000 inhabitants). The total number of confirmed cases in Manilva since the start of the pandemic stands at 905 people and 17 deaths.
The cumulative incidence over the last 7 days remains at 115.57 (positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants).
