Manilva steps up maintenance of children's play areas in the municipality

-

The mayor, Mario Jiménez, and the Parks and Gardens councillor, Pilar Zúñiga, have toured a number of children’s playgrounds to check their condition and the maintenance work under way, following complaints made public on social media by several residents.

Manilva Town Hall has announced a step-up in the maintenance and upkeep of the municipality’s children’s play areas, spaces that families use regularly and which require periodic work because of the wear caused by daily use.

During the visit, municipal officials were able to see the various repairs being carried out as a result of the continued use of the equipment. The aim, according to the Town Hall, is to keep the children’s areas in the best possible condition and to ensure that they can continue to be used by the youngest residents with the greatest safety.

Children’s play areas are subject to particularly heavy use, especially during the busiest months, so regular maintenance is essential both to preserve the play equipment and to detect and fix any damage.

The Town Hall stresses that the work is part of the usual upkeep of public spaces and that it will continue to act in the various children’s areas across the municipality as new work becomes necessary.

These spaces also serve a purpose that goes beyond children’s leisure, as they have become meeting points and places of coexistence for many families in the municipality.

The Town Hall has said it will continue working on the upkeep and improvement of children’s areas and other public spaces, with the aim of providing suitable leisure areas for the residents of Manilva.
