R.W., a British national aged around 70 and a resident for the past couple of years of calle Luque in Manilva, died last Friday in a traffic accident while riding his motorbike, one of his great passions, in San Pedro de Alcántara. He collided head-on with a vehicle after crossing into the opposite lane, having had, according to the theories being considered by officers following the statements of an eyewitness, a traffic dispute with the driver of a van, who was subsequently arrested by Marbella Local Police.
Everything indicates, according to the witness’s account, that as a result of the dispute the van driver caused the motorcyclist to cross into the opposite lane by hitting him with his vehicle. He was arrested on Saturday morning.
R.W.’s funeral will take place tomorrow, Monday, from 15:30 in the town of Arboleas (Almería), as he lived there for more than 15 years before moving to Manilva. The funeral will be broadcast live for all the friends who wish to say goodbye to R.W. at the following link: https://www.facebook.com/events/1260110064700268
