Manilva joins the Giant Benches Route of Andalusia

-

Manilva is joining the Giant Benches Route of Andalusia with the installation of an enormous bench on the camino del Peñoncillo. This unusual spot, to be called Mirador del Peñoncillo, will become part of the town’s “Charming Corners”.

The giant bench, approved by the Route, is a treated wooden structure 4 metres wide, with the seat 1.30 metres high and the backrest 2.30 metres high. It is reached by a front staircase.

Impressive views

From the Mirador del Peñoncillo, visitors will be able to enjoy a stunning panorama of the coast and of the mountain ranges surrounding Manilva, such as Sierra Bermeja, Crestillina, the Hacho de Gaucín and even La Concha in Marbella. It is a perfect place to take in the landscape and take memorable photos.

A new space for everyone to enjoy

The giant bench is a functional feature, but also a fun and original one. It joins other charming corners created in Manilva in recent years, such as the “Bésame en el mar” swing located on the coastal path.

Noelia Muñoz, councillor for the Environment department, invites residents and visitors to enjoy the Mirador del Peñoncillo, which she says has one of the best views in the region.
