Our municipality will once again host one of the most eye-catching sporting events of the summer, the Manilva Beach Rugby 2023 tournament
The event will take place on La Noria beach in Sabinillas on 15 July. It has been organised by Costa Barbarians and the Sports department, headed by Manolo Gil, and is part of the Spanish Beach Rugby 5 Series.
This year will see the fourth edition of this summer tournament, with 8 teams in the men’s competition, 4 in the women’s and another 8 in the veterans’ category.
As it forms part of the Spanish Series, the winning teams in the men’s and women’s categories earn points in the Series overall standings, competing for the title of Spanish Beach Rugby 5 champions.
According to the organisers, the tournament will start at 11:00 on Saturday 15 July, and a bar service will be available to those attending throughout the event.
The prize-giving and dinner will take place at 20:00 on the same beach, with a barbecue for all participants, better known as «the third half».
