Manilva gets ready for the Noche de San Juan 2026

The countdown to one of the most eagerly awaited nights of the year in the municipality has begun. The Fiestas department at Manilva Town Hall has unveiled the official poster for the Noche de San Juan 2026, a celebration that will once again make Sabinillas beach the main meeting point for residents and visitors on 23 June.

The Plaza de Manuel Luna «El Cali» will once again be the focal point of this traditional event, which every summer draws thousands of people to the promenade and the Manilva coastline to welcome the summer season in a festive, family-friendly atmosphere.

Live music and a night full of tradition

The programme will begin at 22:00 with a performance by the orchestra «La Tentación», who will liven up the evening from the stage set up on the beach.

One of the most anticipated moments will come at midnight with the traditional burning of the San Juan effigy, a highly symbolic act that represents leaving behind the negative and starting a new chapter. Afterwards, the sky over Sabinillas will light up with a fireworks display that draws hundreds of people to the seafront every year.

Following the fireworks, the party will continue with a set by DJ Alba Dreid, who will take over the musical duties and keep the night going well into the early hours.

Preparations under way

Manilva Town Hall is already working on making the traditional San Juan effigy, which will be burned at midnight on 23 June. According to the Town Hall, preparations for one of the busiest and most emblematic events in the local festive calendar will start to be seen on the beach over the coming days.

One of the busiest nights of the year

Year after year, thousands of people gather on Sabinillas beach to take part in this celebration, which combines ancient rituals linked to fire and the sea with a wide festive programme designed for all audiences.

With the publication of the official poster, Manilva begins the countdown to a night of light, music and tradition that will symbolically mark the start of the 2026 summer season.

Precautions for nearby businesses and homes

For safety reasons, the Town Hall asks all businesses and homes adjoining the beach area where the Noche de San Juan event will take place in Sabinillas to take in awnings, parasols and any other items that could be affected by embers during the burning, so that together we can avoid the risk of fire.
