The downward trend of recent weeks in the active COVID incidence rate in Manilva has changed course. Yesterday the incidence stood at 36.5 (cases per 100,000 inhabitants) with 7 active cases. Today an increase of 7 more cases and no recoveries has been reported, which puts the active incidence at 85.2. This is a very contained figure for now and below the average for the Health District (110.9) and for the province (130.8), but it is worrying because of the rise in a single day and the sharp change in the municipality’s overall trend.
As of today, Wednesday 12 May, the active cases over the last 14 days are:
* Manilva: 14 cases
* Estepona: 82 cases
* San Roque: 20 cases
* Castellar: 0 cases
* Los Barrios: 25 cases
* La Línea: 23 cases
* Algeciras: 56 cases
* Benahavís: 8 cases
* Marbella: 180 cases
* Casares: 2 cases
This newsroom has produced a graph showing the total positive cases since the start of the pandemic, the details of the last 14 days and recoveries, which we update from Monday to Friday and have included in our «Coronavirus Special.»
