Las Arenas beach to become a dog beach

-

Manilva Town Hall is taking a significant step in its commitment to animal welfare after obtaining the approval of the Director of Public Health of the Costa del Sol Health District, Carolina Calero, to begin the procedures necessary for the creation of a dog beach in the municipality. This 400 m2 space, located on Las Arenas beach, will become, according to the council, the first pet beach in the province with parking areas.

Following a visit to the beach in question, the mayor, José Manuel Fernández, together with the councillors for beaches and the Environment, Gema Zotano and Noelia Muñoz respectively, met with municipal technical staff to discuss the key details and specifications for the development of this pioneering project in our town. During the meeting, the main aspects of the future dog beach were presented, highlighting the importance of having suitable recreational areas for animals and detailing the various functional elements it will include.
