Manilva Town Hall announces the opening of the application period for the creation of a job pool to temporarily fill the post of caretaker-operative in the Sports department, due to the compulsory leave of absence of the current post holder.
This call, approved by Mayoral Resolution No. 2025-1117 dated 16 June, responds to the urgent need to guarantee the provision of public services at municipal sports facilities. The contract is full-time and its duration is linked to the end of the post holder’s leave of absence.
Duties of the post
The tasks to be carried out include:
- Supervision and control of users in sports venues.
- Upkeep, maintenance and opening/closing of facilities.
- Receiving post and making photocopies.
- Purchasing basic supplies and carrying out minor repairs in electrics, plumbing, carpentry, among others.
Requirements and documentation
Applicants must:
- Be over 16 years of age and not exceed the legal retirement age.
- Hold a school attendance certificate or equivalent.
- Not have been dismissed from public service nor be legally disqualified.
They must also pay a fee of 25 € for examination rights (with a possible 50 % reduction for large families), and submit the required supporting documentation along with the application.

The application period is 10 working days from the day after the publication of the rules in the Boletín Oficial de la Provincia de Málaga (Official Gazette of the Province of Málaga) (03-07-2025). Applications may be submitted:

Selection process
The process will be based on a scale of merits, which includes professional experience, qualifications, an oral test on the post and a specific assessment for people over 45. The Selection Committee, appointed by the Town Hall, will be responsible for evaluating the applications and forming the job pool.
