Izquierda Unida warns its councillors of expulsion

-

Following the developments we have been learning about regarding a possible governing pact between the Partido Popular, Izquierda Unida and VOX to try to secure a majority at the upcoming investiture council meeting, to be held this Saturday at 12:00 and which will decide who will govern the municipality for the next 4 years, Izquierda Unida Málaga makes its move and warns its councillors;

«The situation in Manilva is complex. There is an alliance between Compromiso and the PSOE, with the mayoralty held by a person with open court cases for corruption. The only option is to remain in opposition and work for the residents, who do not deserve the continual spectacles put on by their representatives.

We have warned the elected councillors of Manilva that, should a co-government with the PP materialise, supported in any way by VOX, the statutes will be applied: withdrawal of membership and of representation of our organisation, with them becoming non-affiliated councillors.«

As a result, the situation becomes more complicated ahead of the upcoming investiture council meeting, as we explained yesterday in our live broadcast on social media, in which we tried to shed light on the latest developments that various media outlets and television programmes have reported on today.
