Installation of new beach toilets begins

-

The Beaches department has begun work on installing the 15 toilet modules that will be distributed along the coastline.

Beaches councillor Eva Galindo, together with the area director, Alejandro Medina, and the manager of this area, this morning supervised the installation of the first toilets, which are certified and replace the old facilities.

These improvements have become a reality thanks to a grant of more than 300,000 euros for the town’s beaches from the Mancomunidad de Municipios de la Costa del Sol Occidental (the Association of Municipalities of the western Costa del Sol).

As Eva Galindo explained, this funding also included the installation of a children’s play park on the beach between Puerto de la Duquesa and La Colonia, where work has already been completed, as well as the purchase of a new tractor to reinforce the coastline cleaning service.

Both the Beaches councillor and Manilva’s representative on the Mancomunidad, Daniel Muñoz, have thanked the association for this important investment in our beaches, which continue to improve their image and the services offered to users.
