Incidence rises and one more death in Manilva

Manilva is moving further away from any easing of restrictions next week if incidence continues to rise for a second day, even though the Cumulative Incidence in the Health District is already below 150 (143.5), another of the conditions for that easing.

The Regional Ministry of Health and Families, in collaboration with the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalucía, has published today’s data for Tuesday 9 March, which report 6 new positive cases, 1 recovery and one new death. The number of active cases over the last 14 days therefore rises to 30, and the 14-day active incidence rises from 158.2 to 182.5 (cases per 100,000 inhabitants). The total number of confirmed cases in Manilva since the start of the pandemic stands at 893 people and 17 deaths.

The cumulative incidence over the last 7 days rises from 79.08 to 103.49 (positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants).

As of today, Tuesday 9 March, the active cases over the last 14 days are:

* Manilva: 30 cases (4 more)
* Estepona: 196 cases (13 fewer)
* San Roque: 51 cases (1 fewer)
* Castellar: 4 cases (unchanged)
* Los Barrios: 38 cases (1 fewer)
* La Línea: 49 cases (3 fewer)
* Algeciras: 198 cases (8 fewer)
* Benahavís: 11 cases (1 fewer)
* Marbella: 349 cases (18 fewer)
* Casares: 6 cases (unchanged)

Our newsroom has produced a graph showing the total positive cases since the start of the pandemic, the details for the last 14 days and recoveries, which we update from Monday to Friday and which we have included in our «Coronavirus Special.»
