Health councillor Fina Gómez and her team have held a cordial meeting with the doctors and emergency technicians who staff the municipal emergency health service.
This first contact has provided first-hand knowledge of the needs and concerns of the professionals with a view to improving the service.
The Town Hall will carry out the following actions:
- Improvements to the furniture at the facilities located in the Manilva health centre.
- Provision of new uniforms.
- Production of an information leaflet with everything residents need to know about the municipal medical service, duty pharmacies, useful telephone numbers, etc., which will be distributed in municipal buildings and published in the local media to give it the widest possible circulation.
- A request to the SAS (Andalusian Health Service) to provide more medication for the municipal emergency service.
- Working with those responsible at the SAS on the essential services that must be offered at the Sabinillas health centre so that the obligations established by law are met.
For her part, the councillor has stressed to the emergency team the strict observance of the emergency service’s opening hours, as well as her willingness to maintain smooth two-way communication with the department in all areas.
