Manilva celebrates Halloween with a range of activities for all ages on 30 and 31 October.
A family party, an esoteric market, a sound bath in memory of loved ones who are no longer with us, the haunted trail «140 Tumbas» at the Castillo de La Duquesa and an alcohol-free party for young people complete the programme.
Manilva is getting ready to celebrate Halloween with a programme that brings together family leisure, culture, tradition and activities for young people. The programme is concentrated on Friday 30 October, with activities from 16:00 until midnight, and continues on Saturday 31 with a second night of the haunted trail.
The activities are organised by Manilva Town Hall through the Social Welfare, Education, Culture and Youth (Manilva Joven) departments, with the collaboration of the municipality’s AMPAS (parent-teacher associations), the EMMDAT Manilva, Trinidades and El Rincón de Nelly.
Friday 30 October
16:00 to 22:30 · Halloween’26 – Plaza de la Vendimia: The big family Halloween party will fill the Plaza de la Vendimia with prize draws, attractions, workshops, performances and an esoteric market. From 16:00 to 17:00 there will be a «quiet hour», designed for people with sensitive hearing. Entry costs €3 and includes a snack and prize draws run by the AMPAS. Organised by the Education and Social Welfare departments with the AMPAS El Poniente, Cortinal and Oleaje.
From 18:00 · Special Halloween Esoteric Market – C/ Mar, Manilva: Stalls selling crystals, tarot, candles, crafts, herbs and rituals, «and much more», in a market set in the spirit of Halloween night. Organised by El Rincón de Nelly, Manilva Town Hall and the Social Welfare department.
20:00 · «En honor a los que no están» (In honour of those who are no longer here) – Auditorio CIVIMA, Manilva: A sound bath with recitation to honour those who are no longer with us and to acknowledge the place they continue to hold in our hearts. Registration is required on 682 63 98 07. Organised by the Social Welfare department, Trinidades and El Rincón de Nelly.
20:00 to 22:00 and 22:45 to 00:00 · «140 Tumbas», haunted trail – Castillo de La Duquesa: First night of the haunted trail, with 15-minute sessions. Tickets cost €3, in aid of the AMPA Crescendo, and are on sale at Papelería Ingenio (Manilva) and Cafetería Nenit (Sabinillas). Organised by the EMMDAT Manilva and the Culture department.
23:00 · Halloween Party pro-viaje de Bachiller – Plaza de la Vendimia: Alcohol-free party for young people aged 14 to 18, with DJs, a 360° video booth and a costume contest with prizes of €300 (group) and €100 (individual). The money raised goes towards the Bachillerato (sixth-form) end-of-year trip. The contest rules are available on the Town Hall’s online portal. Organised by Manilva Joven (Youth department) and the Social Welfare department.
Saturday 31 October
20:00 to 22:00 and 22:45 to 00:00 · «140 Tumbas», haunted trail – Castillo de La Duquesa: Second and final night of the haunted trail, with the same schedule of 15-minute sessions and tickets at €3 in aid of the AMPA Crescendo, available at Papelería Ingenio (Manilva) and Cafetería Nenit (Sabinillas).
