The Hermandades (brotherhoods) of El Castillo and Sabinillas, with the invaluable collaboration of Manilva Town Hall, have prepared their programmes for next weekend to celebrate the feast of the Virgen del Carmen.
Virgen del Carmen (El Castillo):
Saturday 15 July:
– 11:30h: Traditional games in Plaza Miramar.
– 13:30h: Traditional moraga (beach barbecue) in Parque del Huerto.
– 18:00h: Dance with «Compás Flamenco».
– 22:30h: Crowning of the Queens and Maids of Honour in Parque del Huerto.
– 23:00h: Performance by the group «Latidos».
– 02:00h: Performance by the group «Long Play».
Sunday 16 June:
– 18:30h: Santa Misa Rociera (Rociera Holy Mass) in honour of the «Patron Saint of Sailors» at the Parish Church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, sung by the «Coro de la Escuela Municipal de Música».
– 20:00h: Procession accompanied by the Municipal Music Band, ending with the image being taken aboard a boat at the Puerto de la Duquesa.
– 22:30h: Music and dancing in Parque del Huerto with the orchestra «Latidos».
Virgen del Carmen (Sabinillas)
Sunday 16 July:
– 12:00h: Holy Mass in Plaza Costa del Sol, sung by the «Coro de la Escuela Municipal de Música».
– 13:00h: Crowning of the young and children’s queens and maids of honour.
– 19:00h: Procession of the image, which will be taken aboard a boat to travel along the coast of our municipality, accompanied by the band «Veracruz» from Estepona.
– 22:00h: Performance by the group «Trenzao».
– 00:00h: Performance by the group «Compás Flamenco».
– 01:00h: D. J. Pájaro.
