The Manilva Town Hall is taking the appropriate steps, insistently and consistently, to eradicate power supply incidents in the municipality.
Accordingly, as councillor for Infrastructure and Works Diego José Jiménez told us, the company responsible for providing this service in our municipality, Endesa, will invest more than 400,000 euros in strengthening Manilva’s electricity grid.
This work will be carried out over the coming months and will benefit thousands of people, as it covers the Sabinillas area.
As part of this investment plan, one of the main actions will be the upgrading of the distribution networks. To this end, more than 700 metres of overhead medium-voltage lines will be removed and replaced by 1.3 kilometres of underground lines.
This undergrounding of the network, which will improve the appearance of the area, will involve an investment of close to 300,000 euros and will significantly improve the quality of the municipality’s supply.
In addition, specialist Endesa technicians have replaced 250 metres of medium-voltage cabling running through the fairground area.
This investment also includes the refurbishment of four transformer stations, which will be equipped with the latest technology through the installation of remote controls and sensors. This will reduce response times to any incident and help drive the digitalisation of the distribution networks.
This work forms part of the Investment Plan, approved by the Junta de Andalucía, aimed at measures for the renewal, automation, expansion and improvement of Málaga’s electricity distribution networks, in order to reinforce the service, increase its quality and promote the gradual integration of renewable energy into the distribution networks.
