Dvos announces plans to build a hotel in Punta Chullera

-

Koen de Vos, CEO of the Dvos Property Group, has announced on his social media an ambitious project for one of the most emblematic areas of Manilva. The project would be located on an 11,000 square metre plot in Punta Chullera, next to the well-known 14th-century watchtower, declared a Bien de Interés Cultural (Asset of Cultural Interest).

The project involves the construction of a hotel with 51 rooms, 4 presidential suites, a 721 square metre restaurant, a swimming pool and parking for 115 vehicles.

Following the publication of this news, the vice-president of the Urban Planning management body and Deputy Mayor of Manilva Town Hall, Agustín Vargas, posted a comment to make clear the position of the Town Hall on this project:

«Obviously, this is a development and project that has only a 0.0000000001% chance of being built.
It is in a protected area.
It is affected by coastal regulations.
It is affected by environmental regulations.
It is affected by road regulations.
Politically, we are totally against this aberration (both governing political parties, and I assume the opposition too).
It is as simple as this: the owner and others may want to build it, but they have no chance at all, or the same chance as winning the Euromillions.
As of today, Urban Planning has no record of anything at all, and the only building at that location is subject to a negative file.» Vargas said.

Therefore, the project appears to have very poor prospects, even though this property group has been announcing in various publications that it is working to get it under way.
