Once again, the Asociación Ambulante de Artesanos Campo de Gibraltar “San José”, which runs the Sunday flea market, has made a new donation to organisations in our municipality.
The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, the councillor for Trade, Francisco Becerra, and the Sports councillor, Manolo Gil, attended the cheque presentation alongside the president of the association, Antonio Rodríguez.
Representatives of the Club Senderista Los Kruos, the Club Ciclista and Manilva F.S., as well as the Asociación Luisana, received the amounts intended to support the important sporting and social work they carry out.
Councillor Francisco Becerra recalled that this initiative was able to get under way thanks to the removal of the fees for using public streets for these traders, who each month donate a percentage of their earnings to organisations in the municipality.
The mayor, Mario Jiménez, also highlighted the importance of launching the flea market, which also boosts the local economy and makes it possible, as in this case, to help the clubs.
As the municipal representatives stressed, these donations will continue with other organisations in the municipality.
