Disney series 'Fuimos eternos' films this week at Punta Chullera, in Manilva

-

The Manilva coast joins the locations of a production directed by Malaga-born filmmaker Ramón Salazar, which is being filmed throughout October and November at various points across the province.

The Punta Chullera area, in the municipality of Manilva, is hosting part of the filming of ‘Fuimos eternos’ this week, a series created by Malaga-born director and screenwriter Ramón Salazar for Disney. The production has spent several weeks touring different spots across the province of Málaga in search of natural settings for this new audiovisual venture.

Although not many details have emerged so far about the scenes being shot in Manilva, the presence of the film crew places the municipality among the locations chosen for a production that is maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.

Punta Chullera, setting for a Disney production

The surroundings of Punta Chullera, with its cliffs, rock formations and views of the Mediterranean, offer a distinctive landscape on the Malaga coast. These features make this part of Manilva an attractive natural setting for audiovisual productions.

The filming is part of a schedule that runs through October and November and has already taken the crew to different points of the province, including the Maro cliffs in Nerja; the port of Caleta de Vélez; Frigiliana and Riogordo.

The production is being carried out by Ánima Stillking, with Ramón Salazar leading the creation. The Malaga-born filmmaker has an extensive career in film and television, with works such as ‘La enfermedad del domingo’, as well as having directed episodes of series such as ‘Élite’ and ‘Vis a vis’.

A series about which few details are yet known

For now, Disney has not made an official announcement about ‘Fuimos eternos’. Neither the plot, the cast, the number of episodes nor the expected release date have been made public. Confidentiality agreements currently prevent further details about the project and the selected locations from being known.

The choice of different settings across the province highlights production companies’ interest in Malaga’s landscapes for their audiovisual projects. In Manilva’s case, the filming represents a new opportunity for Punta Chullera and the municipality’s coastline to appear in a production intended for an international platform.

For the moment, we will have to wait for the production company or Disney to provide more information to find out what role the Manilva locations play in the story and when the result can be seen on screen.
